As a writer of novels, I’ve decided recently to stretch myself and further hone my craft through writing short stories. I stumbled on a short story competition hosted by Bibliophone, where the winners would be chosen for narration by a professional narrator. The challenge was to tell a punchy, compelling short story in 1,000 words or less. I sat down with an idea and whittled away at it, then submitted it. Guess what? Yeah, gotta say I love the results.
